At Kid Changemakers, our mission is to make the invisible visible by empowering young people to shine a light on needs that often go unseen, speak for those who go unheard, and take action where others may look away.
Whether it’s serving families experiencing homelessness, advocating for diaper tax reform, or raising awareness for foster care support, we believe youth can lead the charge to bring hidden struggles into the open and create real, lasting change.

What We Do

Advocacy & Awareness:

From diaper poverty to menstrual equity, we support youth led advocacy efforts and push for systemic change.

Service Projects:

From hosting food and supply drives to assembling care packages for unhoused families, our youth-led projects respond directly to local needs.

Advocacy Campaigns:

Kid Changemakers don’t just serve; they speak up. We’ve led successful efforts to eliminate diaper taxes, advocate for policy changes, and bring attention to overlooked struggles.

Community Building:

We create space for kids to connect, collaborate, and grow through service clubs, family events, and shared initiatives.

WHO WE ARE

Our Story

When we were in elementary school, we tried to volunteer at our local soup kitchen and food pantry, but we were turned away because of age restrictions. That setback inspired us to create Kid Changemakers, an organization dedicated to giving young people meaningful ways to serve their communities. We began small, packing lunches with our neighbors for the local homeless shelter and gathering donations for the food pantry. Over time, our projects expanded, and so did our volunteer team. Today, we focus on serving food-insecure families, people experiencing homelessness, and children in foster care. Our goal is to make the invisible visible by addressing critical but often overlooked issues, including diaper poverty, menstrual equity, and food insecurity.
